If you like Brazilian exploitation films with graphic softcore porn scenes, The Rape of Virgin Girls is just for you!
Also known as Violentadores de Meninas Virgens, The Rape of Virgin Girls is the story of a group of wealthy, perverted men who hire a pimp to provide them with virgin women with them and proceed to kill them after they’re done. One day a dry-cleaner’s neighbor is abducted by some men and when he finds evidence of the kidnapping on the dry cleaning of one of the gangsters, he decides to stop them before they rape and murder other women.
I did not like this movie at all. The plot was as contrived and as dumb as it gets. A person who plays a dry-cleaner playing a hero of the women who are brutally attacked? I felt it was degrading to women and real not interested in seeing male ass on top of unattractive “virgins”, raping, and killing them. No, the women most likely are not virgins, but who cares. I found nothing entertaining about this movie and couldn’t wait for it end. There is some gore, but it was unconvincing, as was the story. Some of the women didn’t even try to fight them off, especially when one of them had their shoes on. The characters didn’t reel me in and was repulsed by seeing old, ugly men raping women, especially the one who drank wine that he poured on a girl’s ass.
One 7 Movies gives The Rape of Virgin Girls a DVD release and it looks terrible. The 1.33.1 transfer would appear to present the movie in its original aspect ratio. The image quality looks like something from a VHS tape source. There’s plenty of print damage with faded colors and black levels that resemble grey levels. This is about as bad as a release that I’ve seen and reminded me of Alpha Video.
The Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono track, in the film’s native Portuguese, comes with optional subtitles in English only. There are hissing and some of the words have sibilant sounds to them. The subtitles are clean, clear, and easy to read and stay on the screen longer than the dialogue!
This release has no extras.
I feel this release was meant to please fans of sleaze films that care not about story as much as seeing naked women. I do like low budget movies, but this movie was just trash which is where the DVD is going after being reviewed. Recommended only to fans who love films like this and yes, I question your taste in film if you like this drivel.
