Mother of the Goddess Dormitory is RIDICULOUS! I mean this in the best way possible, of course. So the series follows Koushi, who is down on his luck middle schooler who is having a hell of a year. Koushi’s house burns down, his parents disown him, and for all practical purposes he is homeless (IS THIS EVEN LEGAL?!?!). Out of nowhere a young woman named Mineru takes him in, feeds him, and cleans him up. She then offers him a job as “dorm Mother” of her dormitory, not considering that this is a middle schooler. So just like that Koushi is off the street, and into a college sex-romp.

Look, I am not normally into harem animes the whole concept is cringe-worthy on a base level, but every once in a while one pops up that is so over the top that you sort of have to get on board with it. This is one of those. The writing is ridiculous, the character development is non-existing, but this doesn’t need it. The animation is bright, it pops, and just fits the scenario well. I don’t think this one will win everyone over, but this one really won me over.

Sentai Filmworks presents Mother of the Goddess Dormitory in a splendid 1:78:1 1080p AVC encoded transfer. Everything here looks fantastic, colors pop, detail is solid. Audio is handled in 2 HD tracks Japanese (with subs) and English and both come across clear and crisp. Extras are limited to the standard clean opening, closing, and trailers. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
