Dragons Forever is the final, and possibly the best of the three brothers (Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, and Yuen Biao), of course best is hard here, and that can change at the drop of a hat. The film has Chan playing a lawyer, who formerly worked on the criminal side of things, working with Sammo and Yuen, to take on a baddie and prove his true allegiance.

Of course, the plot in this one is secondary to all the bad-ass fight choreography, and this Dragon’s Forever has that in spades. The film’s pacing is fine, the comedy for the most part works across all versions, and the smaller fights throughout out work, but the huge finale with all 3 against a huge swarm really just SHINES. Is this on par with something like Police Story? No. However, viewers will be more than satisfied.

88 Films new 4K restoration done in conjunction with Fortune Star is BRILLIANT. Detail is excellent, colors pop, it is filmlike, and I’ll just say this film has NEVER EVER EVER looked so good. Audio is presented with a new English dub and also a Cantonese 5.1 with some other assorted blended options. Everything here sounds truly great. The upgraded ATMOS sound really shakes the room as well. The disc itself includes 3 separate cuts of the film in UHD (HK, Cyclone, International) we are also given loads of commentary tracks, interviews, and just a huge assortment of extras sure to please any fan of Dragon’s Forever. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
